The Bottle Wall Begins!

Hey gang, I know it’s been a minute since I posted but life comes at you fast and so here we are!

As we wait out the COVID-19 pandemic I’ll be posting a bit more regularly so check back often for updates on the great remodel of the Fort!

Our adventure begins at Second Chance, Inc where begin the great search for french doors. One of the things that RPB has always wanted were french doors, it’s pretty much the only thing he’s asked for in regards to the remodel of the house. So, once we decided that the garage was going to become our bedroom, french doors were definitely the only option.

However, as anyone who’s done a remodel knows, french doors aren’t exactly cheap. This is where Second Chance comes in, we were able to find the gorgeous doors above. They were leftovers from a new community build where they ordered too many, thanks to them being donated to Second Chance we were able to get them for $400. Yes, $400 for brand new doors. Hence why we’ve gone to Second Chance and The Loading Dock for almost every aspect of this remodel. Instead of producing more we’re using what’s already there, which is not only good for the environment but it’s also really good for our budget!

Now that the doors are here, thanks to help from the Grecian Goddess, Daredevil, Doc Ock and Valkyrie, it’s time to get these bottles prepped to go around the framing!

It’s a simple process that takes a bit of time but trust me, it’ll be worth it!

Stay tuned for the next step and if you’d like to donate to the remodel as we continue our ongoing battle with Baltimore City, please do so here.
